I got this cube and i think its really good and really fun!! I can't solve the regular 3x3 rubik's cube, but this is deffinatly easier! It only took me about 2 days 2 solve, but its still alot of fun. It does not break easaly, and its already smooth as soon as you open the box. I do recomend this for someone who wants to solve a rubik's cube, and it a perfect addition to any rubik's collection.

If you're looking for a 2x2 cube - that is what this is. It is not as straightforward as you would think but obviously is the same as solving corners only on the 3x3 or 4x4. Mine actually did come apart with someone dropping (? throwing) it on the floor and there are a million little blue tracking pieces inside. Actually, I thought it was an even more fun puzzle putting those back together (I was successful - good as new).

As someone who can solve a 3x3 Rubik's Cube in a minute and a half consistently I was looking to add to my Rubik's Cube collection. I picked up the Rubik's Ice Cube at a Toys R Us in Manhattan and by the time I got back to my dorm room my friends and I had it figured out. It can be done without the aid of algorithms but its a piece of cake if you can do the 3x3 because you can use 2 of the algorithms from that to solve it easily. As for its durability some people have claimed its not very solid but I have yet to have any problems with it. Since it sits on my desk in my dorm room and we always have people coming and going it gets picked up and played with fairly often and has been dropped numerous times. So far, there have been no problems and it has been a solid addition to the Rubik's line.

As someone who can never work out the standard Rubiks Cube I figured I would try this smaller version. It definitely gave me a run for my money! Really fun for Rubiks Cube beginners or skilled solvers looking to add to their collection. The stand is especially nice for collectors. I didn't have any problems with mobility or breakage. I would buy it again, it's a good product.

It looks like a simple little cube. But it's real hard, because it consists 100% of corner pieces, which also in the 3x3x3 cube are known as being the toughest tiles to orient correctly.
If you do not look up solution tutorials, and truly want to develop the solutions on your own, be prepared for weeks of problem solving before you solve it.

I would not recomend the Rubik's Ice Cube to anyone. I wanted a 2x2 cube, and it was a choice between this one and the other 2x2 that Amazon currently offers, I chose this one. When it arrived I immediately began to work with it, and it immediately broke. It was reparable but I had to use super glue to fix a piece of plastic that had physically broke from the cube. Once the glue dried, I tried to work it again. It broke again, the exact same problem but with a different piece. I repeated the process of it breaking, and then fixing it with glue several times, until it completely fell apart, both physically broken and dissembled. I then gave up on the Rubick's Ice Cube. The only reason that this gets two stars instead of one is because there are no stickers to peel off. Except for that, there really are no positive aspects to this cube. The color scheme is different from the standard Rubik's cube, and that can cause a little confusion. The rare times when it was working properly, it did not move well, there were many cases where it would not turn the right way, so I had to turn it three to the other direction. Instead of getting this cube, I would recomend that you get the other 2x2 currently available. I did not choose that one because of the dumb monkey on it, but the monkey would be worth it for a functional cube. Also, you could get a 4x4 and use it as a 2x2. The very best option however, is to go elsewhere and get an actual 2x2. One that is constructed better than this horrible cube.

Things I don't like about this cube - it breaks. I'm not sure what the others guys are talking about when they say it is durable because it's not. It's made of fragile plastic that breaks at the corners. And, maybe it's just me, but since I'm a regular user of all the other cubes from 3x3 up to 7x7, something important to me is the color orientation. Yellow opposite white, green opposite blue, orange opposite red: red, white, and blue clockwise when holding the white face towards you. It's important to memorize the color orientations especially when working with a 2x2 cube that is nothing but corners. This cube does NOT come with the colors oriented that way, the way any regular cuber is used to seeing them. This is really amazingly annoying. I eventually peeled all the stickers off and put them back on the way they are supposed to be but you shouldn't have to do that. There are other 2x2 cubes that are much better made and have the colors oriented correctly. I would not recommend this cube.
