First of all, this toy comes only in blue and white (there use to be a purple and green one). I ordered 7 of them, and they were all the same.

Rubik's Twist is a great toy for people that like to have something that they can just play around with. There is no "solving" of this toy, but it is fun to try and make some of the shapes displayed on the instructions.

Easy, relaxing, and totally enjoyable. Truly a classic.

The images shown for this product don't really display it's basic shape. When extended and unfolded, this toy is like a long snake, with sections that alternate in color. Each section is a triangular shape that pivots where it meets the sections next to it. When you twist it the pieces kind of lock together at 90 degree angles, making it easy to make a stunning variety of shapes. You can twist it into a compact ball, mimic an animal shape, or create interesting patterns and geometric shapes. I remember this toy sitting on my Grandparents' table most of the time as a kid, and for years it has remained fun to play and fidget with.

I have four children and even my 3 year old finds it entertaining. It stretches their imagination and they spend countless hours trying to come up with the most creative creatures. I've decided to purchase a second one so they can race to see who can make the desired shape the fastest. It's durable, compact, quiet and best of all, it's one of the few toys we own that requires no batteries!

I have two of these at home. At Christmas time, my sister and her family stayed with us. They have two very active boys who usually drive me nuts. This year I brought out my Rubik's snakes. They spent hours playing with these things. Made all the shapes in the book, and invented several new ones. This is a great toy for the hyperactive child. I highly recommend this for adults too.

This puzzle has been around for years, which should tell you how good it is. I don't know why children under 8 would not be able to play with it.
The puzzle is made of 24 connected triangles that rotate to make many shapes like a cobra, dog, goose, turtle, bird, rocket, iron, and more. It requires imagination and dexterity to be able to use it.
A great toy for when you are bored and/or on the road.

I was very excited to get one of these, loving the ones I had as a kid. Unfortunately, the newer version is not as durable. On the first day I had it, my stepson accidentally popped one of the joints apart. It was possible to fix it (which involved prying the tops off the two affected segments, squeezing the joint mechanism back together with a pair of pliers, and then gluing the tops back on the segments. Very shortly, without even being careless or forcing it, the exact same thing happened at a different segment. I never had this problem with the older Rubik's Snakes. Skip this version and get an older one from a yard sale.

Rubik's Twist is a lot of fun. It's so simple that it doesn't seem like it, but it is. Making shapes, trying to figure out how something is done, or just fidgeting, it's a good toy.

Unfortunately, this is a cheap rendition of the Rubik's snake. The pieces are lightweight and that turns work on four snaps that feels like they will break. If they made this in a sturdy version i'd give it five stars.

This Rubik's Snake is great! It is very fun to play with when you are bored. There are an unlimited amount of possible shapes you can twist and turn this snake into! I recommend this toy to anyone who likes Rubik's cubes or anything like that.

I have had my Rubik's twist almost 20 years and it still works great! My 4 year old had decided to keep it with her toys and plays with it all the time. In fact, everyone plays with it. My only downside is that I am the only one here who can put it back into a ball and everyone wants to learn that.

The twist is a great toy. It just doesn't last. After owning it for about sixteen hours, my 8 year old dropped it and the thing snapped in two. He was crushed. So we had him do choirs around the house to earn the cash for another twist. Number deuce lasted five days before coming apart while the boy was performing a tricky bird of paradise maneuver. The boy said the twist is "a crappy made toy". I couldn't of put it better myself, son.
