5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome puzzle fun for the whole family!
I really like this game. It may not be loaded with all sorts of crazy graphics but it works just fine. Sometimes simpler is better.

While I do wish that there were more puzzles in the game, I like the fact that you can keep creating new things in the area in which the cubies want to learn from you.

I know for sure that kids will have a blast...

2.0 out of 5 stars Fun Puzzles, Little Else
I was ready for this game to be pretty pathetic, but actually enjoyed it quite a bit. I like puzzles and brain teasers. You have to like them to enjoy this game.

First, there is little resemblance to a Rubik's Cube. You can do one in the game, but that's it. The games and environment are build around little cubes of varying colors that could have come...

Puzzling entertainment for all.
If you like spatial puzzlers like the ones you find on IQ tests, or figuring out how to solve a Rubik's Cube, you would probably enjoy this game.
I like the fact that some games are timed, while others give you as long as you need to figure them out.
One thing that could have been improved is the progression between the 3 different difficulty levels (easy, medium, hard). Most of the beginning stages only have 2 levels, but once you get to Medium, there are like 20. The beginning levels are ridiculously easy, while the Medium ones are pretty challenging. I think more beginning levels would have added to the overall enjoyment of this game.
All in all, I'm happy with my purchase.
It definitely gets the brain juices flowing!

I know for sure that kids will have a blast with this game and it will totally help them with their puzzle solving skills and train their brains to think in new concepts and patterns. It's helped me get back into the puzzle solving mindset and I'm going on 30!

Get this game to show off at a party and have your friends create their own world. There are 6 different save slots (one for each color on the cube) so you can have several different worlds!

All in all I would highly recommend this game. It's enjoyable.

This is a very fun game. There are games for one to four players. It was fun for my husband and I to play cooperatively with our kids (4 and 6), and they played some of the games successfully by themselves-others were a little more difficult, but they'll use problem-solving skills to handle them eventually.

I think it is a great game for the $10 spent (on sale...). I probably wouldn't have paid more than about $15 for it, but I wouldn't spend much more than that on any of the games*. If I can find more for that price, I'll buy it for my friends with the system. :o)

This review is from: Rubik's World (Video Game)
Note: This is my review for the Wii version. The DS version has related but different content.

Areas:

Rubik's Cube - Here they teach you a standard algorithm for solving the 3-cube. You can play other sizes and also there is game where you adjust a solved cube to match the patterns they give you.

Fit - You have to place and deform a handful of cubes to fit through a screens with variously shaped openings.

Deconstruct - Colored cubes are placed on various structures and you have to shoot them off in a limited number of shots.

View - You have to build a 3d structure one cube at a time that will match the 2d view from various perspectives they give you. Despite its bland concept, I enjoyed it and found it a good for improving spacial reasoning.

Switch - Colored cubes are layed out in 2d, and you have to select them in groups of 5 or more of the same color to make them disappear, with the goal being to clear all of them. You start with a block in hand and you switch it with any one on the playing field, then the one you just switched it with becomes the new one in hand. Again a simple concept, but it actually creates some complex puzzles that you will really have to study to find the correct order and placement of the blocks.

Guide - You have to place directional arrows on variously-shaped playing fields to cause the cubes to follow a path from their starting points to the exit. Its gameplay is very similar to the excellent gba game Chu Chu Rocket. You will have to really analyze and think carefully about many of these to solve them. This was my favorite game in the collection and apparently the developers also thought it was good since they re-released a variation of it with more levels for Wiiware called Rubik's Puzzle Galaxy Rush.

Also, there are two additional areas where you can make simple songs and objects out of the blocks that will be used in the music and backgrounds of the game.

Additional Info: Each of the mini-games has 40 levels each except for Fit which has 30.

I was ready for this game to be pretty pathetic, but actually enjoyed it quite a bit. I like puzzles and brain teasers. You have to like them to enjoy this game.

First, there is little resemblance to a Rubik's Cube. You can do one in the game, but that's it. The games and environment are build around little cubes of varying colors that could have come from anywhere.

To play, you select the type of puzzle and then select which puzzle you want based on difficulty. Really would be better if it forced you to work through them in order. The games are pretty simple at first but can get quite challenging.

I don't think this will be anyone's favorite game, but it is fun if you like brainteasers. The graphics are bland at best, which makes it easier to concentrate on the games. I don't foresee a lot or "replayability" here. To make the game really worth it, I think it needs at least double the number of puzzles.
