The band at their peak, October 21, 2002
In my humble opinion Ruby Red stands as the finest work produced by this fine band. Why ? The songs are excellent, and delivered with all the grit, spit, verve and energy that the band were famous for delivering. It's more polished than Encendedor, and more of a true, 'live' Dambuilders album than Against the Stars, and hence, in my opinion, the disc that delivers the sound of a band at the height of their talents. The CD takes the listener on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. From the cranking "Smooth Control" with its awesome intro, to the oh-so-sweet "Drive By Kiss", "Lazy Eye" (which Dave, the singer, apparently has one of), to my favourite, "Drown", various styles, and emotions are explored, and delivered in true Dambuilders style.
