Max and Ruby are great, my daughter loves the show. It doesn't seem like some generic cartoon. For the very limited amount of time she watches any TV, I don't feel bad if she watches an episode of Max and Ruby. Somewhat educational/

My daughter is 5-years old now, and has watched Max and Ruby since she was 3 years-old. We do not subscribe to cable television, as we like to pick and choose the shows our daughter is exposed to. I would rather purchase a season of Max and Ruby than a month of cable television. I have reviewed numerous shows for small children and this one is magnificent. Ruby is a great big sister to Max. The show is quiet and really has a point. Best of all, I like watching it with her! Unbelievably, this shows can be watched over and over with tiring. The themes are sweet and stand the test of time. You will not be disappointed in this series. It has none of the shrill characteristics of children's shows from the 80's and 90's. The illustration is very basic, but lends itself well to kids' imaginations. My daughter's room is full of pictures of Max and Ruby that she drew herself. Highly recommend.

My 6 year old loves Max and Ruby. These funny Christmas stories kept her entertained during a very
long car ride. She loved the story of Santa. I loved that she learned that Christmas is not just about
receiving gifts. We are never dissapointed with these preschool videos.

I gave my opinion in the star score. I don't want to have to spend more time on something that takes time away from my other activities. I won't review any more after this batch. It is a pain and time consuming. Not a good way of getting feedback from your customer.

So my kid says "I think I missed the episode that explained what happens to Max and Ruby's parents? These are nice simple cartoons, not as manic and annoying as other preschool cartoons, with subtle life lessons that aren't overly preachy. Ruby can be grating and bossy, but my kids don't seem to mind!

This show is pretty terrible if your goal is to have your children act their age and they don't have any neurological issues. The "hero" of every episode is Max who pesters his overbearing sister while uttering a one word "theme" word each episode. Kids tend to mimick Max rather than Ruby who tends to be extremely patronizing to her little brother but at least can construct sentences. There are no parents in any episode and Ruby seems to be managing max 24/7 365. The only thing close to a parent is a grandmother who appears from time to time and "bunny scout leader" who somehow doesn't object to Ruby bringing her little brother and all his annoyances on overnight camping trips. The background music is the same each episode like it is on some terrible loop. I'm not sure what age Max is even supposed to be. He drives cars and can operate rockets yet can't dress himself and seems very comfortable trashing the house and communicating with head shakes and the theme word. This show should be called "Read Max's mind". It might be helpful for kids with Autism but can be a step backwards for kids without it. Avoid this show if your kid's arent already addicted to it.
