So many years later, and I still sing tracks from this in the car. I'm looking for a copy desperately, so if you have one, let me know!

I have been listening to the Nashville Rap Scene since the days of way back. One of the first major players was Rude Awakening. These guys could compete lyrically with most of the hip hop artists of their day, and are definitely way better than most of these weak-a$$ artists now days. Don't get me wrong there are still a few good rappers in the game, but it's all so commercial. Regardless, this CD is full of both tight flows and beats, any true hip hop head will agree.
This is out of print and I was very surprised to find a used copy on here for $25.00. New copies can sell for $75-$100. I highly recommend picking up this junt not b/c I'm from The Ville, but because I love good hip hop. I also recommend it if you miss "the days of way back" when rap had and edge and didn't get much play on the radio, when nobody cared what a rapper looked like, just what kind of game he spit.
