THIS WAS ANOTHER OF MY FAVORITE ALBUMS.ANYTIME I HAD TO MAKE A DRIVE OF 1HOUR OR LONGER,THAT CASSETTE WAS MY COMPANION.THIS ALBUM IS ONE OF THE MOST SLEPT ON ALBUMS OF ALL TIMES.THIS ALBUM HAD EXCELLENT PRODUCTION AND LARRY MARCUS WAS DEFINATELY ON TOP OF HIS GAME.MY KINDA GIRL WAS VERY MUCH A PARTY JAM,BUT THE STRENGTH OF THIS ALBUM WAS THE BALLADS.GO AHEAD AND CRY WAS NICE,BUT THE HEARTFELT I MISS YOU SO MUCH AND THIS LOVE WERE ABSOLUTELY THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THIS ALBUM.I AM HAPPY TO HAVE FOUND THIS CD AFTER MY CASSETTE CAME UP MISSING.IT'S A SHAME THAT GOOD MUSIC LIKE THIS WENT ALL FOR NOT.

Despite a couple of minor R&B hits ("My Kinda Girl," "Miss You So Much"), this album went nowhere fast commercially. The excellent singing by Larry Marcus and company could not disguise the fact that the R&B world was moving closer to the parlance of hip hop. That change rendered "Rude House" hopelessly old-fashioned despite the fact that it was one of Atlantic Records' better R&B releases of 1992. Labelmates and peers Levert ran into a similar problem in this period, and never truly recovered. Still, "Rude House" is a solid production, peppered with great songs like "This Love" and "There Is No Doubt." Though certainly not a must have, it's a good slice of silky soul.

The cd was awesome, however the package material was substandard,

The cd case was broken upon arrival which left the cd scratched. I was

not and am not happy.

It was way back in 1992 when I first heard this CD. I've been listening to it and have not stopped! Tracks like "My Kinda Girl", "Go Ahead and Cry", "Miss You So Much", "Tonight" and "True Apology" will leave you yearning for more. My favorite??.. well it's "Go Ahead and Cry".

Sadly we can't turn back the hands of time so to go back to a time when R&B music was timeless, when lyrics had so much meaning. If you enjoy groups/artists like Guy, Yours Truly, Levert, Gerald Levert, Keith Sweat and Jodeci; well then I can promise you this: YOU WILL NEVER be disappointed with this CD, EVER!!

So go ahead BUY it, it's a great timeless investment.

great album ,to bad it had to release when it did.
larry marcus has a great voice,strong and soulful,what
a shame we would rather listen to all those with no voices.
