Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer and Hermey the elf are simple misfits in Santa's Christmastown. They set off together and manage to find others who also are unique individuals, e.g., Yukon Cornelius, the toys of the Island of Misfit Toys, and the Abominable Snowman ("Bumbles Bounce!"). You will see all the great characters from the classic TV program (with the exception of the Burl Ives narrating snowman). Sit back and read this little book to your favorite kids. It's a happy Christmas story of acceptance and love.

My 4 year old watched the classic Rudolph movie, and immediately wanted a book of the movie that we could read together. I am glad it was available through Amazon. She enjoyed it immensely. There wasn't an overload of words which could lose most preschoolers, and the story is true to the movie. It's a cliff-note version of course, but your little Rudolph fan will enjoy it all the same.

Great pictures, just like the classic Christmas show on TV. What's not to like about the story of Rudolph???

This is the story I grew up on. However the monster scares my son so we can't read it anymore.

I prefer the song than this particular story... I forgot this version of Rudolph. Anyway, the book is about right for the price. It's too long for a 2 yr old. The extra characters (the little "odd" elf and the snow monster) are quite boring and silly side-kicks. If you loved this version of the story/movie you'll find this a great buy.

We were looking for the song "Rudolph the Red Nosed Raindeer" in words and pictures so this story was way too convoluted and wordy for our two year old. It is kind of a silly story with too many characters, but he does like to have it read to him.
