About the Author

Rudy Ruettiger is the man behind the inspiring moview "Rudy." He grew up in Joliet, Illinois--one of 14 children. As child he always dreamed of playing football for the Fighting Irish. His grades in high school were just average--not good enough for Notre Dame. By all standards, he was also too small for college football. However, he overcame every single obstacle in his path to not only get accepted in Notre Dame, but to walk on to the Fighting Irish football team.

Rudy now spends most of his time speaking to large corporations and other organizations.

Rudy's story is inspirational in its own right. Several of the stories he has collected in this book will tear your heart out. I thought I had things pretty tough in life, but after reading these stories, I realized just how blessed I am.

"Rudy & Friends" is full of real stories about real people who were faced with incredible challenges and circumstances. As you read the different stories you will come to the conclusion that maybe the problems and challenges in your own life aren't so bad after all. Also, you will realize that no matter how bad the situation seems there is always hope and an opportunity to come out a winner if you believe in yourself.

This is an awesome book; you will be inspired. It is a powerful reminder that we all have the ability to turn our dreams into reality.
