My dog is a big chewer, this is not a good product for him. He was done in a matter of minutes and pieces were all over the place.

I bought the Large “DuraBone Treat” yesterday at Home Goods, thinking this would be a great chew toy for my Jack Russell.

I filled it with Alpo Snaps, his favorite dog cookies, and gave it to him this morning. Within five minutes he had chewed the end of the thing into several small pieces, which he was trying to eat. I took it away from him immediately. I’m so disappointed. It looked tough and hearty and as though it would withstand normal dog chewing. It does not “stand up to chewing,” as they claim on the packaging. They should include a disclaimer that the thing can be easily chewed apart and small pieces of it can be ingested. It is fortunate that my dog didn’t ingest them or that he didn’t choke.
