4.0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect
For several months, the actual product called the "Flippy flopper", a fabric frisbee-like dog toy has been out of stock everywhere. (It is now available - Google it. But supplies may not last!) In my desperation, I came across this product as a substitute, and ordered several.

1.0 out of 5 stars Ruffin It Saucer- not as good as Flippy Flopper
We have a 100lb German Shepherd that loves to play Frisbee but always destroys the plastic ones. We bought Flippy Flopper frisbees from Walmart and love them, but could not find them at any Walmart or on the internet. So, I decided to buy two "Ruffin It" flying saucers and they are horrible. They do not even come close to the Flippy Floppers. They do not fly straight, always curve and end up flying sideways. It doesn't matter if it's a short toss or a long one, or if their is no wind or a slight wind, they do not catch the air like the Flippy Flopper. Two weeks after I purchased the "Ruffin" saucers, The Flippy Flopper became available at the "Valley Vet" website. Purchased two immediately and our dog is back to hustling and catching frisbees. Forget the "Ruffin" saucers and purchase the Flippy Flopper! Don't waste your money on the "Ruffin" saucers- spend an extra dollar or two and get the Flippy Flopper.

For several months, the actual product called the "Flippy flopper", a fabric frisbee-like dog toy has been out of stock everywhere. (It is now available - Google it. But supplies may not last!) In my desperation, I came across this product as a substitute, and ordered several.

They are a little bigger in diameter than a Flippy Flopper, and except for the fabric-covered plastic ring around the outer edge, it is completely flat. (No saucer shape for aerodynamics) This makes it fly erratically, and difficult to control, making it less than perfect to throw over and over and over for our obsessive-compulsive border collie. Luckily, he fixed it himself!

While playing with it, and chewing it a little bit, he caused that outer ring to break, or at least to cause the ring ends to slip past each other, which made it slightly smaller, and giving it that perfect flying-saucer shape that flies so well. Our dog made it perfect.

I can recommend Ruffin' It as almost perfect. Your dog may improve it!

I have two Boston Terriers, and they love the frisbies, but this brand tore up within a couple of days, totally not worth the money, and a dissappointment to me and the Kids....

I was looking for a replacement frisbee for my Boxer while the kind she prefers was unavailable for some reason. I had really high hopes for the Ruffin' It Flying Saucer, but ended up giving up on them. The material is durable, but as another review noted, they ALWAYS fly to the left. My Boxer got fed up with being unable to catch them and no longer has an interest in playing fetch with the Ruffin' It. Perhaps the reason I think they are so durable is because they have barely been used.
