The Rugrats' First Kwanzaa,
This review is from: The Rugrats' First Kwanzaa (Paperback)
The scenes in The Rugrats' First Kwanzaa are colorful; the colors are bright and entertaining. Also, the story emphasizes one of the most important themes of Kwanzaa, family being together. In addition, Aunt T teaches Susie that greatness come from inside- an inspirational message. Yet, the major of the scenes depict Christmas symbols, such as the tree and stockings. Moreover, the symbols of Kwanza are absent from the illustrations, except for a few pages. Even more so, the family lights the wrong candle at the karamu for umoja, it should be the black candle instead of the first red candle.

My mentally retarded son loves the Rugrats and this book was a winner with him.
