My son loves this game!,

This review is from: Rugrats: Royal Ransom (Video Game)
I wanted to say that I just bought the Rugrats game for PlayStation 2 for my 10 yr old son. Although I have not played it, he enjoys it if I sit in the family room and watch him play. I must say, every time I glance at the TV he is playing some new adventure. He is hooked to say the least! He likes it because it has the real Rugrats Nickelodeon characters and I like it because it is not obnoxiously violent like some other games. Two thumbs up from a parent!

Our 3 kids - 4,7,15 all love this game. There are 3 difficulty levels and many more games to play than most video games have. They got it for Christmas and are still playing with it even though they've already won the entire game. Non-violent and fun!

We rented several games, but we never got past this one! My 4-1/2 year old grandson absolutely loved it, so he never would even try any of the other games, even though he had chosen THEM, and I had chosen this one! (He's usually into more boy-action, beat-em-up types.) This game was fun for me too. It keeps your attention. We always try games out by renting them before deciding to bu; we are definintely going to buy this one.

For starters, I'm a mother of a four year old. I love to play PS2 games as well. This game is too hard, and I don't mean for my 4 year old. It doesn't take skill so much as patience. The reason why is because you can't control camera angles which goes all over the place, from birds-eyed view to a full shot of your character running at you. Useless camera angles are detrimental when you're trying to jump or manuever around. Since depth perception is off at times, some things take multiple tries to succeed. My son enjoys it, but I don't. Unfortunately, I have to manuever most parts for him. No matter how smooth I perform, I usually get nauseous because of the jumpy camera angles.

I rented this game thinking it would be lame but it was so good I ran all over town looking for it. I wish Nintendo would make more games like this. Whoever came up with this game has alot of imagination. You basically explore lots of differn't lands like space, prehistoric, undersea. Along the way you can collect money and open two player mini games. I don't know what game the other reviewers bought because I think this is one of the most under rated kid games out there. Im 40 years old and my 3 kids are 5 and under and we all love it.

My little sister got it for her birthday, so I played it.Not much of a storyline, but you would expect that from Nickolodeon.I had some problems with the camera too.The levels and mini games are okay though with the except of the river racing and moon racing. Both of these parts in the game are hard to control. When you turn in the moon racing mini game or going off a ramp, you can end up swerving in circles or messing up on the ramp. The games is very easy, so many people won't find it challenging.I know most of you people will not agree with this review, but I had to put my two cents in.Bye!

My daughter grew up with the Rugrat's so this was right up her alley. She's 17 now but still gets excited when she sees ANYTHING Rugrat related! I've watched her play this game and it really is quite clever and fun. If you can find it, get it!

When I bought this game for my kids, I had no intentions of everplaying this game myself. But suprisingly I find myself telling my own rugrats to wait just a minute until I finish playing. They love it just as much as I do. I especially like driving the moon buggy all over and smashing up buildings with the drivable catapult cart. I never have been a RugRats fan, in fact they tend to get on my nerves, but this is truly a fun game that may end up converting me into a Rugrat fan.
