Product Description

From Parents' Choice®

The tremendously popular infant characters keep getting themselves into rather bizarre situations. Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, Lil and Angelica find themselves in a time machine traveling to famous eras and places in history. Stops include prehistoric and wild west adventures.

Each of the game's ten levels features a different type of game play, so players will experience traditional side-scrolling action/adventure elements, puzzle-like challenges, chases and fast-paced racing.

True to the other video games in the Rugrats series, this one features no violent content.

A 2000 Parents' Choice® Approved Winner.

Product Description

The Rugrats are about to find out that the only thing more exciting than traveling through your own backyard is traveling through time. After discovering a time machine, the kids accidentally scatter themselves throughout history, and you're the only one who can reunite the famous babies with their beloved cohorts. Each of the game's 12 levels puts you in charge of a different character, charging you with tasks like finding a lost toy, locating fellow Rugrats, or tracking down mysterious items. The whole debacle begins when Chuckie won't enter the time machine with the other babies, but he changes his mind as soon as the rest if the gang disappears and leaves him all alone. Chuckie's attempt to track down the others puts him in the 1800s, but none of his friends are there. In fact, Tommy is in ancient Egypt, Angelica is at an old circus, Phil is trapped in prehistory, and Dil is, somehow, lost in space! Can you collect all of the lost items and round up the babies before it's too late?

2.0 out of 5 stars Too difficult for a 6 year old, December 8, 1999

My six year old is an experienced game boy player. He very much enjoys the Rugrat movie game version. But this new version, with the promise of enticing levels to follow, leaves you that much more frustrated trying to get through the first level. The first level is incredibly monotonous and difficult. It may well be enjoyed by an older player.

4.0 out of 5 stars Definitely frustrating and too hard for children, January 24, 2000

This review is from: Rugrats: Time Travelers (Game Cartridge)
We bought this game for my 5 year old, as her first game. It is definitely too hard for a child. She can't get past Chuckie. I played it too, and as an inexperienced game boy player I found it very frustrating. I did get one level past the Pyramid level, but was extremely frustrated. However, it is very hard to put the game down once you start figuring out the tricks to getting through the levels. Once you get past the first level and find Tommy, the next levels don't seem to be quite as hard. The hardest part is figuring out exactly what to do. I did not realize until I played it for awhile that you won't find Tommy until you find 15 bottles. After that Tommy will appear. Once Tommy appears you can leave the portal to the next level.

5.0 out of 5 stars I thought it was hard too..., December 27, 1999

This game is very hard to play for little kids. I am 11 and i think that the game is extremely hard for younger players. It was also hard for me to play. I hope that if i manage to get past the first level i will have more fun and have an easier time playing. In general, this game is fun and has a good story. Not a bad game, if you are a really extraordinarily talented game boy player.
