I can verify that this is the Complete Season 3 of Rugrats, 26 episodes (one of which, Passover, is double-length) and comes on 6 discs.

Normally I would reccomend any of Amazon's MOD releases of Nicktoons (Rugrats most emphatically of all), but this is a reasonably good deal for the amount of content.

So, 39 of the 65 original episodes of Rugrats are officially available on DVD... all that remains of this early period is the second half of Season 2, which Amazon has inexplicably seen fit to skip over. An issue of these episodes, on their own or as a reissue of the existing Season 2 set, is in order.

Everyone who purchased this, please check Disc 5 to insure it is Disc 5. When I ordered the series, Disc 5 was printed on the disc but when played, it was actually Disc 4. Amazon replaced the series and the replacement had the identical problem. Amazon needs to fix this problem.

I grew up watching Rugrats during the 90s. Rugrats had 9 seasons, however the only seasons I like are seasons 1-3. Season 3 of Rugrats is the best season they wrote. Something happened after season 3 and Rugrats started to go down hill fast. All I can figure is they must have had new writers...but even their voices are slightly different. Anyways, season 1-3 is the golden age of rugrats. I can remember every episode. All I need is season 1 and a complete season 2(not yet available) and I'll have my favorite cartoon collection. If you like the Rugrats, then I highly recommend buying Doug (any season), the first 4 seasons of Hey Arnold and Rocko's Modern Life and the fist 4 seasons of Arthur.

Adding my extra comments to this review to the top, so they're seen. Received my replacement copy of this DVD yesterday, only to continue to have the same problem. Pleased to see that currently, this item is unavailable, here's hoping they can fix the problem, and when it becomes available again, it will be correct. Just to be safe though, I'm also going to contact Create Space, the company responsible for making the discs, so they too are aware of this problem, and get it fixed. Personally, I hope when this product is rereleased, not only does it have all 26 episodes on the product, no duplicates, but since season 2 is available on 4 discs, and has the same number of episodes as season 3, let's swing for season 3 being released in the same format, with the theme song before each episode, and the series released on 4 discs instead of 6 discs. I have a feeling there'll be less room for errors and duplicates if released in this format. If this is the case, here's what episodes would be released on each disc, if they go by the format in which season 2 is currently available in.

Disc 1
Dummi Bear Dinner Disaster and Twins' Pique
Chuckie's First Haircut and Cool Hand Angelica
Tricycle Thief and Rinoseritis
Grandpa Moves Out and The Legend of Satchmo
Circus Angelicus and The Stork
The Baby Vanishes and Farewell, My Friend
When Wishes Come True and Angelica Breaks a Leg

Disc 2
The Last Babysitter and Sour Pickles
Reptar 2010 and Stu Gets a Job
Give and Take and The Gold Rush
Home Movies and The Mysterious Mr.

Just like with the whole 2nd second of Rugrats, season 3 contains another bonanza of 51 episodes, including Chuckie experiencing what the world would be like without his being born (a real take-off of It's A Wonderful Life), the infamous Dummi Bear Dinner Disaster, Angelica supposedly becoming a big sister (in 2 different episodes) and being a big baby on her own birthday, how the Rugrats first met, Chuckie being in love, Susie being played by E.G. Daily in 2 episodes when Cree Summer was somewhere else, a take-off of Rocky and Bullwinkle from Stu and Drew's baby years, and the revered Passover special. Whether you're Jewish or not, this episode's a milestone in the show's history, as the Chanukah special kicked off season 4 the same way. The series would've ended then and there, had it not been for loyal fans young and old. SpongeBob's 3rd season and Digimon's 4th went through similar pressure AND loyalty by the summer of 2004, so's Nick and Disney could keep them going. In Rugrats' case, when the Nicktoon series AAAHH!!! Real Monsters was completed in 1996, Klasky Csupo went back to work on Rugrats, thanks to Nick's incredible input & ideas, making another 6 seasons (the next 107 shows' worth of episodes), the movie trilogy as well as the 2 Tales From The Crib movies. What bugs me about this set is that dual-layered DVD-R discs weren't used for it nor season 6, only single-layered ones. But they still fit great in single normal-sized DVD cases. Another that bugs me, with my copy of Rugrats' 3rd season, during the Home Movies episode, the audio drops out a few short times. Does Amazon's CreateSpace stuff offer a disc replacement guarantee, like the Warner Archive does for defective discs? All the other episodes never did that, and thank goodness for that!Read more ›
