My family really enjoyed this. Pre-teen and teens found it entertaining and even a little educational. It's very well thought out and well made. I think it might even have sparked some interest in some of our players to watch a TV documentary on the old Mayan civilization.

We just got this game for our 9 year old son. He loves games like this - where you need both strategy and luck. We had a good time with it. And because there is luck involved a 9 year old can play his parents and have an equal shot at winning. It was also exciting because the board is always changing. You think you know what to do next but then someone changes your plans. It was easy to understand the directions and did not take long to grasp some of the strategy points as well. I would recommend this to any family.

Pretty easy, not a whole ton of strategy involved, but some. Game play is very short if you're looking for a quick, easy to learn game. Could be a good party/drinking game since its very easy to learn and play.

We purchased this for our son's 8th birthday in March. It is one of our favorite family games. Since then, we've purchased it as gifts for two of my son's friends, and recommended it to many more. It takes strategy (and a little luck)to win, so players have to be engaged. I highly recommend it for those who are bored by games like Sorry.
