Produced by Jim Diamond of the Dirtbombs and well known producer of the White Stripes, Jon Spencer, and the Mooney Suzuki, Shesus' latest is really something special. It marks their first recording written together as a band which shows in the consistant and dynamic song writing. Heather Newkirk whales vocals and the band plays some of the heaviest riffs I've heard in years. The lyrics are filled with break-up anguish and pain. The music is so well complimentory of the lyrics as well. The drums, it must be pointed out, are increadibly unique in their approach to the songs. This record truly will stand out amongst the rest. This is a phenominal record which proves that there is indeed something great coming from Ohio. This band seems poised for greatness now...and this record proves it. Every song is a highlight, a wonderful listening experience.

such a disappointment from one of my favorite Ohio bands. The songcraft is all over the freakin place and the audio production is weighed down by bad choices. too guitar heavy from a band that is good, but really isn't god's gift to guitar playing. the best thing about shesus is the lead singer, heather, and they've got her buried up under all these guitars played through all these stupid pedals. Off to the cut out bin.
