5.0 out of 5 stars A Lippert Mega Fan
This book manages to combine 'girl power' and Arthurian legend. In particular, I appreciate that although the book is fantasy, it conveys the power and impact that choices have on our lives...both long and short term. Having read many of G. Norman Lippert's books, it is easy to see that his growth as an author blossoms in this book. Well Done!

3.0 out of 5 stars Overall a good story
This is a well written story. The writing style is impressive and the story itself is very engaging.

However, in my opinion the actual story itself is quite short and there is quite a lot of filler content, way more than necessary and way more than in the author's James Potter series of books which I have very much liked. I believe the story would be way...

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Lippert Winner, December 1, 2011

I became familiar with Mr. Lippert's work through his fanfiction. After reading his fascinating book, Girl on the Dock The Girl on the Dock: A Dark Fairy Tale I eagerly awaited Ruins of Camelot and was certainly not disappointed. He has once again created a strong female protagonist, a highly believable fantasy world, and a fully fleshed out and terrifying villain. The book was worth the wait, and I am already looking forward to his next offering. I highly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great story from G.Norman Lippert!, December 2, 2011

This review is from: Ruins of Camelot (Kindle Edition)
The format of this book, a story within a story, drew me in from the first few pages. Thomas and Yazim move the narrative along nicely and provide relief when things get tense.

Gabriella herself is such an inspirational character! In a previous book, this author said, "...the right thing to do is always simple, but it is never easy." Gabriella Xavier saw what needed to be done, knew the odds were totally against her and forged ahead, regardless.

I love these young adult novels that feature strong female protagonists. This might be a fantasy tale but it is quite relevant in our time when there is so much complacency. Gabriella is remarkable in not only her personal moral code but in making the hard choices.

This is a great story from pre-teens to adults and I highly recommend it.

Highly imaginative tale, with a well-spun plot, intriguing characters, and an original world. The portrait painted by Mr. Lippert brings the whole story to life within the mind and heart. The creativity in this story rivals the most accomplished authors of our time...

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, a must-read!!!, December 3, 2011

This review is from: Ruins of Camelot (Kindle Edition)
I absolutely ADORE G. Norman Lippert's writing style, and his ideas for stories are GENIUS. I know that sounds extremely mushy and weird, but it's true. I first got interested in him when my friend told me about his fanfiction series, the James Potter series, found on jamespotterseries.com, and I tore through them like there was no tomorrow. When I searched for more, I came across The Girl on the Dock, a companion piece of sorts to the James Potter series, and LOVED it. I then found other stories of his... And it went from there. This author's books are all AMAZING, as is the author himself. I encourage you to buy and read every single one of his masterpieces; you won't regret it.
