1.0 out of 5 stars Totalitarian Trash, December 21, 2006
By
On a lark, I decided to read through some of this book. It was absolutely painful. It is filled with such flaccid ghost-written text that it makes Leviticus seem like an action thriller.

It would take someone holding a gun to my head to make it through more than a few pages without getting drowsy. Literally.

Ironically, that *is* how they get people to read it, in Turkmenistan.

3.0 out of 5 stars Why are some of the world's largest international companies translating the Rukhnama into their own languages?, November 18, 2008
If you interested in the Rukhnama and its impact on Turkmen society you should check out this new documentary called SHADOW OF THE HOLY BOOK, which questions why the Rukhnama has been translated in to forty languages, paid for by some of the world's largest corporations; Siemens, Daimler-Chrysler, Caterpillar, John Deere, Bouygues, among many others.

SHADOW OF THE HOLY BOOK exposes the immorality of international companies doing business with the dictatorship of oil-and-gas-rich Turkmenistan.

5.0 out of 5 stars O, wise Turkmenbashi!, October 31, 2006
This book, if I can label such a spiritually uplifting object with such a prosaic word, is the assimilated thought of the wise, yet humble, Turkmenbashi, reflecting on the values of the Turkmen people, whom he leads and nurtures towards the promised land of enlightenment.

I have rarely come across such a lucid and perceptive writer; Turkmenbashi discusses with clarity, focus and direction, some of the most crucial spiritual issues people face in today's world. Although this work was directed towards the Turkmen people, I feel that everyone can read and benefit from the great man's wisdom. Buy yourself a copy today.
