I use in a solar powered pond aireirator. Has functioned 6 hours a day for 4 months.
Tough unit.

I bought this pump to replace one just like it that had lasted over 15 years. I expected to get similar quality, but it failed on its third time out! Under the exact same conditions! They don't make them like they used to.

I have ahad a rule 1500 for 8 years in the bilge of my Jet Boat with absolutely no problems, it always worked and pumped plenty of water. I had to replace it becouse when I had my boat apart on my way home from the carwash it fell out the hole for the jetdrive, so now I'm on my 2nd but not the fault of the pump.

This is a great product. I have one in my boat, and decided to add another, just for backup. A quality product from the good old USA.

"You get what you pay for." Reliable, solid product is what you want from a bilge pump. This brand is the industry standard for good reason. I have three on my boat (primary, back-up and shower sump).
Nothing but good service from these pumps. Easy to install, no further service required for many years.
And oh yes, it's good to keep your boat from filling up with water!
Like Amazon.com, you can shop around all you like, but won't get a better deal.

Pushes thru a lot of water with nothing attached to it but adding 20 ft of 3/4" tube going up just 2 feet I got nothing out.

This rule 1500 GPH Bilge pump work real good,Ihad a 1100 GPH pump but did not work as good as the 1500. Easy to install. I am very happy with this new bilge pump.

Anyone that has been in a boat that is taking on water knows how important a bilge pump is. My old Rule 1500 probably lasted 10 years, replaced with the exact same model, as the clearance under the engine was good. These are easy to install, and can be hooked up to a float switch to automate their use. I would buy another one of these tomorrow.

This unit was purchased to replace the same model that was in my '99 TDB, which had finally given up the ghost after 10 years. If I get half as much use out of this one, I will be a very happy camper!

I HAVE NOTICED THAT OUR ORIGINAL JABSCO BILGE PUMP # 18490-0000 HAD JAMMED AND WASN'T PUMPING WATER. I PULLED IT FROM THE BILGE AND REMOVED THE LOWER COVER. I NOTED A PIECE OF PLASTIC FROM SOMEPLACE..NOT FROM THE PUMP..HAD JAMMED THE IMPELLER AND ALSO WARPED THE LOWER PLASTIC WATER ENTRANCE OPENING. I TRIED TO FIND A PARTS LIST BUT COULD NOT FIND ANY. A SMALL PRINTED LABEL IN THE PUMP HAD THE DATE...A 30 YR OLD ITEM THAT WAS ORIG ON OUR BOAT!I JUST ORDERED ANOTHER..THE 1500 AND MORE THAN LIKELY I'LL BE DEAD AND BURIED BEFORE THIS NEW ONE FAILS!! GREAT PRODUCT,,MADE IN USA BACK THEN..DO HOPE THIS WILL BE THE SAME AS THE ORIG!!
