Rule 800 GPH Bilge Pump,

This Rule 20R bilge pump is a great little pump. This is the second one I have owned. The first lasted 8 years. I
had a gas line leak and the first pump sat in gasoline for long enough to soften the plastic. These pumps are quiet and very efficent.

Items were the same as the ones that were originally on the boat. I purchased them as back up on my Hunter 28 so that it would be easy to change out if one failed.

I am using this to pump collected rain water. The pump is pretty small for the impressive output it has. I have a submersable 120 volt pump that does not deliver like this little one does. I'll most likely get another one.

Stay away from it if you could,

I bought it to replace an identical livewell pump in my bass boat since I did not want to change the housing. I do not know why the original failed but it certainly was not from excessive use. They are compact, quiet, move lots of water, but my guess is that they don't last long and I will probably get to a point in the future that I will just cut my losses and replace pump and hanrness with something more durable. If you are buying it for a new install, then do a serious comparison with all reliable brands before making up your mind.

Well built pump that has the highest pumping capacity for 3/4" hose. Quiet reliable and durable, it sits in the bottom of the boat for weeks until its called on to keep you afloat, and it does every time. I left the manual override switch on one time and it ran dry for hours and hours and did not get damaged.
