Pump Works Well,

This review is from: Rule 24-35A Marine Rule 360 Marine Bilge Pump with Mercury Free Rule-A-Matic Float Switch (360-GPH, 12-Volt) (Sports)
The pump works great, empties my boat after heavy rain easily. However, the float switch requires a lot of water before it will turn on, like 1.5 inches.

This pump is exactly what we needed to keep our window well from overflowing in torrential rains. Normally our drainage system is sufficient, but this summer it was deluged with more water than it could handle so we experienced some seepage around our basement windows, a first for us. This pump handled the difference in flow rates very nicely. The 360 GPH was more than sufficient. The ability to lift water more than 3 feet to an alternate drain while operating on switched battery (12 volt motorcycle) power allowed for a very compact, efficient and safe installation. One full battery charge per summer season should do the trick.

Excellent product so far. If it holds up it's a winner. Good pressure, no priming and the spec says it can be run dry which is a real plus! Can't beat the price.

Installed this as a secondary bilge pump to work automatically in case of rain runnoff or any other water build up.
This item works great, but one should make sure that they install the auto-switch at the proper level(depth) so that it turns off properly as designed.

The pump works great and moves a significant amount of water in a little amount of time, however, the float switch does not kick on as early as I would like. It requires more water in the boat then I feel comfortable with.

Rule has been the mainstay for marine pumping applications and provides cost effective, reliable pumps. This pump will be used a a back-up for my basement sump pump in the event of power loss. After reviewing all the expensive dual pumping options out there, this was the best bet.
