I set up a rain collection system, which I love, but it is predicated on being able to pump the water out of the barrels. The RainPerfect Solar Rain Barrel Pump was to be the ticket -- without using electricity! It was great and I felt wonderful about it for three months. It worked perfectly, but, after that, started shutting off as I was using it. I would push the button to re-start it and it would run for a few minutes and shut off again. This happened two times and then it ran perfectly again for about three weeks. Now, starting a month ago, it starts with the button, but shuts off almost immediately with the indicator light showing that it does not have a charge. I've changed nothing about the solar collector and its connection to the pump, but now it seems not to be getting or holding a solar charge. I emailed the company -- about three weeks ago -- and have heard nothing in response. I feel ripped off. Now I'll try to get my money back through the Amazon labyrinth.
Meanwhile, I have full water barrels that I can empty only with a hose kept lower than the barrels!
