Whether it's social media marketing, or you are new to social media, this is the only book that I know of that explains why and how we use social media. It is a mandatory text for my e-learning, online, classes for college students. The new wave of online education is based on social learning, and this book answers the questions that students might have regarding online social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, Linked-in, and more.

The book gives great justification to build online educational Team Wikis, which I have recently discovered is an excellent way for students to learn. This book solves the mystery regarding Wikis and all other social media tools that many of us are puzzled with, when we first start using it. Thus, it saves me the time, as an instructor, in having to take extra time in answering these common questions.

What I like most about this book is that the chapters are short but have powerful context. Student's are not intimidated with the reading assignments and enjoy the book. If you are a college instructor teaching marketing, then this is a must. If you are a college instructor teaching online classes, then this is a must. If you are just starting out to use social media online this is a must. In short, a great easy read, that is informative, educational, and well worth buying!

I really enjoyed reading this book, as it provides fabulous real-world examples on this newly-emerging area of marketing. It is written in layman's language, so that anybody can pick up the book and gain great insight on how to be successful in this very important new aspect of marketing. Writen by 3 people who have extensive experience in B2B marketing as well as social media marketing, one will definitely leverage the tips and tricks provided throughout this book. A "must-read"!

If you look online or in any library around the world you will find a multitude of books about business to consumer (B2C) social media books. You will find very few that cover social media for business to business (B2B) marketing. This book fills that void and does it very well.

These savvy authors offer a section at the beginning of the book called "How To Use This Book." They make recommendations on reading and using the book based on your job role and experience. This is a clever and helpful tool that I would like to see included in more non-fiction books.

Most rules includes the topic, an explanation and a case study. You may find some of the topics familiar such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, SlideShare, etc. but the authors explain how to make these tools work for B2B marketing. I learned so much from this book that I can use in my business that it would seem I had read a dozen books instead of just this one.

I especially appreciate the companion website for this book, created by the authors, because social media changes quickly and they wanted a place to discuss updates and answer questions. The bonus rules and Appendices were also a welcome surprise. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is involved in B2B marketing who wants to use social media more effectively and efficiently.

This book is a great compilation of B2B Social Media Marketing in a concise and actionable format. It's detailed enough to be useful to social media veterans, yet straightforward enough for the beginner to jump in without drowning.

While this phenomenal little book may have been designed for the social media professional, it's also a great resource for people like me who are still figuring out the B2B social media world. The book is filled with very practical step-by-step advice that I could immediately apply to improve my B2B social media and networking skills. It is well-organized and brimming with real world examples that illustrate the 42 rules, starting with knowing your audience, leveraging key channels, and how to engage effectively. I first read it quickly so I could understand all the concepts in the book; now, I am going back to specific sections to apply them to my own social media marketing. I highly recommend this book!

This book is a great resource on how to successfully launch and execute a B2B social media program. So many social media books are focused on high-level theory and contain way too many B2C case studies, but this book provides helpful advice and best practices that you can actually execute upon immediately. Definitely a must-read for any B2B marketer.
