Collina life story, not much on the Laws of the game, May 29, 2009
This review is from: Rules of the Game (Paperback)
The book was more on the life and some history on Collina more than on the 17 Laws of the game. A few mentions of game situations he was in but that is it. As a USSF assessor I was looking for more on his application and philosophy of the Laws of the game. Good book, read it on my last cruise.

This review is from: Rules of the Game (Paperback)
I started refereeing soccer this past fall and was looking for some insight into the profession from a consummate expert. This book didn't provide that, but it did provide insight into the life of Pierluigi Collina and his experiences. Interesting read from that standpoint and there are a few situations regarding game-time decisions and tactics, but the bulk of the book is about his career, preparing for matches and travel situations associated with his referee assignments.
If you are looking for a good read on a professional referee's career experiences, this is your book.
