Editorial Reviews

Review

This title covers the very brief period from 1938 to 1942 when George Rumrill produced his pottery in Ohio. (Prior to that time, it had been produced for Rumrill by the Red Wing pottery in Minnesota for 6 years.) An extensive history of the company is included, as are dozens of catalog pages. The photographs of items are from the author's extensive collection.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: RumRill Pottery the Ohio Years 1938-1942 (Hardcover)
I live in the area where the Florence pottery originally stood. For many years I have seen a few pieces of this fine pottery -designed by Rumrill and Gonder- here and there. Untill i purchased this book I did not realize the scope of their products. I think this book really covers almost everything put out during the peak production years. It showed me what to look for - many of the smaller pieces were unmarked. It is an invaluable reference for the serious collector.
