This review is from: Rumba Games Mystery: Death by Chocolate (Toy)
As part of a three couple group who have played over 18 of the boxed Murder Mystery games, Death By Chocolate is perhaps the biggest disappointment of them all.
While the vast majority of games that we've played have had several twists in the plot and sequences of events that kept us laughing, this one stayed on a relatively mundane course to a foreseeable end. Death By Chocolate includes a video CD as opposed to the usual audio CD, which was a nice touch, but the video information did not match the written character information on a few occasions throughout the game.

We hosted this murder mystery for my sons 13th birthday. Keep in mind he is very advanced educationally for his years.
Almost ruined by a guest not showing, my husband stood in, good thing he did. It was hard for them to get "into" their parts for fear of getting taunted. However once they did, it was alot of fun. Our meal was in the theme. I had made menus (much like a french restraunt) and took "orders" as well as served in the french theme. I also had set our dining room very formal. I gave them two choices for each entree'; appetizers; shrimp cocktail, garden salad, or shrimp scampi main course; beef burgundy & chicken cordenbleu w/twice baked potatoes, Desserts; chocolate mousse, chocolate cake, strawberry cheesecake. In between each course they would go into our living room to watch the dvd to be sure all "secrets" were revealed. Before it was announced whom the murderer was we took a secret voting by ballot. We voted the murderer, best actor and actress, and best costumes. I took a photo of all of them and had each guest sign a picture matte, their name/character and framed it for him. My other children can not wait until their "old enough" to host a simular party
