a great book for what is was meant to be...a poignant reflection on rumi by two of the great post-modern "rumi-ists" !

if you want pure rumi, then go for one of the pure collections. our other reviewer must have thought this was something else. obviously.

Beautifully compiled, this little book contains not only the ecstasy of the world's greatest writings on communion with Allah, but, includes a look into the mystical world in which this gift of the Lord, lived. Very well done!

What peace true silence brings! Rumi's words take me to a place that only I abides. Wonderful book for those seeking tranquility.

I love Rumi, but this book should not be your introduction to him. After you have read other collections and just can't get enough, then pick up this book and you will find hidden gems.

I have always appreciated Coleman Barks' translations of the Sufi Master. I appreciate the guidance he provides in the introduction, which is very helpful in better understanding Rumi's writings. His writing is ageless.

Inspirational and thought provoking, these translations of ancient poems render an ocean, nay a universe, of opportunity for the reader's understanding of life, being, desire and beyond... .
