The lament of the Reed comes in a Audio Cd with a booklet wherein both Persian and English scripts are placed in beautiful illustrations. Preparation of this title has taken enormous efforts of many people. Prof Seeyed Hossein Nasr translated and recited, famous musician Suleyman Erguner has played reed and directed music. Presenting both the original Persian and English has given ajoyful look to the title.

About the Author

Prof. Seyyed Hossein Nasr was born and received his early education in Tehran. He later studided science, philosophy and the history of science at MIT and Harvard University in US. For over 20 years He was a Professor at Tehran University. He also served as Dean and Vice Chancellor of Tehran University and Chancellor of Aryamehr University. He was the founder and first President of the Iranian Academy of Philosophy and is presently University professor of Islamic Studies at George Washington University in US. He has lectued and taught extensively throughout the world and was the first Muslim Scholar to deliver the Gifford Lectures. He is the author of over 30 Books which have been translate into numerous lannguages, and He also has been involved over the years in the study of the meaning of Islamic Literature, Art, and Architecture and in their preservation and propagation.
