Superb trio,

This has to be one of the best of Frank Kimbrough's trio recordings. Part of the reason is that base player Masa Kamaquichi is just wonderful, and is a real solo voice along with Kimbrough. This session, made shortly after a live gig, shows three masterful improvisors at their best. Never has Kimbrough's Paul Bley influence been as apparrant, with splendid results. One of the best piano recordings of the year so far.
