Product Description

Color: Root Beer Snap | Size: One Size

The Rumparooz One Size Cloth Diaper Cover is designed to grow with your baby, with 4 adjustable rise settings; newborn, small, medium and large. Weight range of cover starts at 6 pounds and will fit up to approximately 35+ pounds. Rumparooz One Size Cloth Diaper Covers are generously sized and designed to fit over most fitted or prefold diaper. Covers may be used multiple times before washing but should be placed into the laundry if it becomes soiled. Kanga Care diapers and accessories are also biodegradable! When composted they will biodegrade in 4-5 years. In 2008 Kanga Care started using a biodegradable TPU waterproof material. Biodegradable TPU is solvent-free polyester fabric that has been laminated with a thermoplastic polyurethane using a heat bonding process, not chemicals. This process is low in toxicity and is better for the natural environment then traditional PUL. WASH & CARE: 1. Cold Rinse, no detergent. 2. Hot Wash/Cold Rinse with the suggested amount of detergent (see www.kanga-care.com for full list of recommended detergents). Tumble dry low or lay flat to dry (diapers dry FAST!) All Kanga Care products are designed and invented by Julie Ekstrom, mom and CEO of Kanga Care, and distributed world wide out of Golden, CO.

I use prefolds and have been using thirsties covers- wanted to try out the rumparooz because sometimes the thirsties covers are wet around the leg holes after one change. So far the rumparooz has been dry and I could use the same cover all day.

This is one of my favorite diaper covers. We use it over a snappied prefold - there are not flaps in the front in back, so if you use inserts, you might not like this one as much as some of the others. I love the double gussets on the legs and the elastic in the front at the top - so far this is the only diaper cover I have found with the elastic at the top front, which helps to prevent wicking up onto pants (our son just transitioned to the next size up prefold, so they are a little bulky in the front right now). I was a little worried that these might have the shorter rise like the Rumparooz pocket diapers do, but they seem comparable to the Thirsties cover that we have, but a little smaller than the Blueberry covers. I think they will fit until our son potty trains (he is a bit on the skinny side, so this may not be true for all babies).

UPDATE 9-22-2013:
Our son is now 16 months old, and tall and skinny for his age. These are now one of my least favorite diaper covers, right up there with the Thirsties. They work just fine, and we still have not had any leaks, but for some reason they are a pain in the butt to put on - it is something about the fit over a snappied prefold that I cannot quite put my finger on, but in any case, we still much prefer the Blueberry diaper covers. We also like the PlanetWise diaper covers. It is possible our son is in between sizes right now - the 2nd rise setting seems a little tight, but the completely unsnapped rise setting is much too big. These have also stained quite badly in the front from urine ( the inside front is a dull yellow color), whereas none of our Blueberry covers or the Thirsties cover have stained at all.

I bought a few of these for my daughter who cloth diapers my granddaughter. They are really great covers. They are leak-proof, she's never had a diaper leak, neither urine or feces, and she is breast fed which is a softer, liquid type bowel movement, and it holds it all inside, something my other daughter always had a problem with she used disposable diapers.

How to use them:

She uses them with either pre-fold, flat, or fitted cloth diapers. For pre-folds: She purchased a few dozen organic newborn size at Green Mountain Diapers and uses snappi diaper fasteners instead of pins. We lay the pre-fold down, with baby's waist at the center top, then take each side where her legs, feet were are and roll it in "jelly roll style", to where it is a triangle'ish shape, then pulls the bottom up between her legs. Then take each side of the top and pull in on top of the part that was pulled up and fasten the little hooks on the snappi at the bottom onto the crotch part, then stretch each of the snappi's arms to where the teeth grap the cloth on each side. It holds the diaper on perfectly without having to use pins.

Then, we take the rumparooz and adjust the snaps to fit. It has multiple ways it can be snapped, so that it will fit a newborn through the first 3-6 months, depending on size of your baby. For a newborn, you snap down the "rise", which is the bottom row of snaps in the middle, for the first several weeks we needed it to be snapped to the bottom row, then as she grew longer, we snapped to the top row, now that she is 3 months old, we don't need to snap down the rise because it fits fine without shortening the rise.

I really have enjoyed these newborn covers. Unlike fitted newborn covers, they can be worn for more than two weeks. My daughter finally became too large for them at their widest size at about 6-8 weeks. I love the double gussets, the double snap that helps prevent wing droop, and the material that they are made of. Also love the colors available and am impressed with how well they fit. Out of all the newborn diapers I tried, this is definitely my favorite. I recommend small Indian pre-folds to go along with them.

The double gusset, bright color, and more breathable fabric make this my favorite diaper cover for over prefolds. The baby doesn't get as hot as she does with Thirsties or other more plasticky covers. Newborn size doesn't last long, though, so opt for the larger size asap.

I have researched cloth diapers to the point where I feel I can get a degree on them. I originally used a lot of thirsties duo covers. However, the little one outgrew them very quickly. When looking for a one size cover, I found Rumparooz to have good reviews as well as a low price. The combination of good reviews and a relatively low price was the reason that I first used this brand of diaper cover. I use the better OsoCozy prefolds inside these as an insert (not tied with a snappy). So far I have been very happy with these covers. They rarely leak - a leak happens only if we have neglected to change the diaper for a very long time or if someone has incorrectly put the diaper on the baby. It has been easy to use by husband as well as grandparents. I am very pleased with the size as well as snug fit and it has worked well for my baby since Month 2 to Month 5 (and growing). I have bought about 4 of these from Amazon in addition to 4 other Thirsties diaper covers, along with about 36 better fit OSOCozy prefolds to last for 3-4 days at a time. At night, I use the bumgenius 4.0 cloth diapers with extra inserts for our growing baby and moderate to heavy wetter. Overall, a good product and seems that the baby will be able to use it for a long time to come.
