I have two of these CD's and I would say this one is probably the one to get. I would recommend getting the percussion enhanced version if there is one however.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, January 9, 2007
This review is from: Run To Cadence W/ The U.S. Navy SEALs (Audio CD)
Helps a ton in that it takes your mind off the run and by doing so allows you to keep going further than you realize you can. Is an excellent buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shave my head make me pretty for the ladies, August 10, 2010
This review is from: Run To Cadence W/ The U.S. Navy SEALs (Audio CD)
These cadences are awesome. You won't like them if you are liberal or a woman but then again a staunch liberal wouldn't buy this and women aren't allowed to be SEALs. If you want a good cadence to run to then this is it. It has the attitude and pump to keep you going whether or not you sing along or simply run to it. The cadence is set to official double-time standards which is 180 steps a minute or 3 steps per second. You can shorten or lengthen your stride to go faster or slower while listening; and, should you wish to challenge yourself, you can do the call back portion of each cadence while running a moderate pace. By performing the call back you force your body to addapt to a consistant lack of air by increasing lung capasity and absorption rate of the needed oxygen. Remember, a slow pace you can talk steadiyly at, moderate pace you can only speak in phrases, and a fast pace is difficult to talk at all. I've been listening to these for six months now and it doesn't get old, whether I'm running 4 miles or 20.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very inspiring, January 17, 2012

My running has increased alot since listening to these cadences. Time goes by so fast you don't even notice it. When you look at your watch, 45 minutes has gone and you still have energy left to keep going. Definitely recommended for all long distance runners.

Despite what other commenters have said, this staunch liberal who's also a woman not only bought this CD but absolutely loves it as well. I mix it with the Airborne and Infantry editions and the results are my go to playlists for my runs. The cadences keep me motivated, push me to run longer, and are way better than listening to regular music. It's great for any runner, regardless of gender or political leanings, who is looking for something different to listen to on their runs.

4.0 out of 5 stars Run to cadence with us navy seals, October 6, 2008
This review is from: Run To Cadence W/ The U.S. Navy SEALs (Audio CD)
Fantastic! Especially great when I downloaded to my mp3 player. Feels like your in the middle of the run with the seals. Especially the background noises like the jets and helicopters. Great buy if you want to put pep in your step.

5.0 out of 5 stars great fun and authentic, January 28, 2008

You might not enjoy this CD if you are a woman, a liberal, or try to maintain a very fast pace while running. Otherwise, this CD is a lot of fun. The back of the case says "All cadences were recorded on location with SEAL instructors and trainees at the US Navy Special Warfare Center in Coronado, California." It's a lot of fun and does keep you up and pumping. It reflects these seals as very independent operators. So grab your boots and your swim fins and get yourself ready for the PST, if not drop down in the leaning rest and give me 50.
