Diva Destruction is enjoying an explosion of success throughout the U.S. and Europe after several albums and worldwide tours. Trained as a classical pianist, Debra Fogarty (singer/songwriter/programmer) mixes heavy electronics and dance beats with powerful female vocals. Many of the songs have become big dance club hits which are also being played heavily on college radio.

5.0 out of 5 stars How I enjoyed her latest release... July 5, 2007
Format:Audio CD
First, I dusted off the Black, "67" Lincoln Covertable, carefully retracking the the top to expose the cold, hard leather to the last rays of a setting sun. After I dressed in the appropriate attire, I cruised south to the ramp that would take me the Mojave Desert. I started with something soft by Kraftwerk, Enya, and Tangerine Dream. As I cleared the pass, I decended to the desert floor, to a town that was dying, cut off by the new highway. Cold, hungry, I made my way to the remnants of a truck stop that will not be there next time I pass... I headed back onto the highway, With "Run Cold" now filling the void, speed increasing, the beat dicating this new frame of mind... I let it play 2 more times, then continued in silance. Soon I glided into the driveway, to quietly go inside and take my place under the covers next to the one who never knew I was gone, or cared. But tonight, I did not feel like I was alone. Thank you Diva, thank you.

Her 3rd release fits perfectly between the previous. The power and passion that is Diva Destruction continues, only letting up mercifully on the track " Safe with me " ( And also my favorite ), allowing you a much needed breath, before stepping it up one last with "Resolution". Upon its conclusion, now is the time to play "Heathcliff" (from her 2nd release,"Exposing the Sickness"), to kick your night into overdrive.

While it is well known that Debra Fogarty wrote/played and did the vast majority of work on her first two CD's, this is purely a solo effort from someone who knows what it is all about. No gimicks, no over distorted guitar solo's, just pure techo/goth with the voice of sadistic angel, one moment so sweet and beautiful, the next, cruel, but always leaving you wanting more...
I will be looking for the fourth.

2.0 out of 5 stars THE CHILD DEVIANT November 30, 2006
Format:Audio CD
Ok, let's say some nice things first. Debra fogarty (singer/synth-player/creator/and primary studio engineer of Diva Destruction) is uber sexy, and Diva Destruction are a good live act. Nevertheless, the music on this album is cheap, under-produced, and kinda repetitive. I'm not trying to hurt this artist, but at this point, ....Diva Destruction have become a dissapointment. The best record this band has released is thier debut album Passion's Price...the following two albums (including Run Cold) since are mostly just fluff. As much as I want to praise this artist (because I am head over heals for the singer) the mostly just sucks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Safe with me October 4, 2006
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Diva Destruction is easily my favorite modern goth band. I have been a fan for several years now. Four years after the release of her last cd, Diva Destruction (aka Debra Fogarty) returns with "Run Cold". I was not disappointed with "Run Cold". "Run Cold" clocks in just under fifty minutes which is fine with me. "Run Cold" begins with the excellent title track which has a killer dance groove. The song almost reminded me of "The Broken One" from DD's first album "Passion's Price".The same can be said about "Rewriting History" but it sounds more like "Enslaved" (also found on "Passion's Price"). What I have noticed about "Run Cold" is that the overall sound is a more electronic sound unlike its predecessors which had a more guitar orientated sound. Another aspect of the cd I love is the eerie and sinister sounds. "Electric Air" has such a terrific foreboding sound that would sound perfect in a horror film. I found it really hard to pick a favorite song off "Run Cold". All of the songs are great. The production is immaculate. You can hear Debra's vocals clearly. The four years was clearly well worth the wait for "Run Cold" for this Diva Destruction fan.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nope, Nada, Not! June 21, 2007
Format:Audio CD
Another bad Diva Destruction album to follow a previous bad album. The only decent DD album was Passion's Price and that's just because of the one hit she's ever had "The Broken Ones". On this album she tries to get a little EBM and fails miserably. I doubt that she'll be making any more records after this bomb.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wishing there was more music like this April 29, 2007
Format:Audio CD
The beauty of her voice is enough to knock down the gates of heaven. the dark power of the guitaurs is enough to slaughter angels.

I'm not a real goth, i can never be one. One reason I can never be a real goth (besides being too old) is that I really don't like Bauhaus all that much. Sure, Bauhaus is nice, but how can so many so-called dark people worship Bauhaus as THE best band in the world when Diva Destruction is so much better, darker, more powerful, and more beautiful?

Although ok, this album isn't the best they ever did, but who else but Diva Destruction makes music even remotely this dark, powerful, and beutiful?
