5.0 out of 5 stars Girl Power, July 8, 2009
This review is from: Run Like a Girl: Igniting the Spark for Your Next Great Adventure! (Hardcover)
I love Kathy's work and was so excited to see yet another book out. She's an encourager who sees beauty in the mundane...and so many women I know feel their lives are mundane. Not so! Let Kathy help you see through a different set of lenses; she has a way of capturing and reflecting beauty. This is a great book for the women in your life, young or old.

What I love about this book is the overall theme of hope. We all need a boost at different times in our lives and this book has many great inspirational quotes and thoughts to spark one onto the next level. It is an excellent choice to give as a gift as it has something to offer women of all ages. The physical layout is appealing and very well done. There are books of this genre that one might read once and not go back to but I see this as a resource to go back to and re-read. I found that I could not absorb the whole book at one sitting because I wanted to process what was being said in each section. I highly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A father remembers his daughter's potential..., September 7, 2009
This review is from: Run Like a Girl: Igniting the Spark for Your Next Great Adventure! (Hardcover)
As a father of two girls and a boy, I'm reminded as I read Run Like A Girl that my daughters have incalculable potential within them. Boy's are often considered to be the adventurers, and while they will climb a mountain to simply to conquer it, girls have the ability to throw a picnic lunch together and go to a distant mountain (without a map mind you) simply because the journey itself and the people along it hold mysteries filled with joy. Thanks for this wonderful window to the heart Kathy!
