Book Description

Who knew the man who claimed to be Neen's long-lost uncle was a big drug lord? Nobody told her what he did for a living. She didn't find out until the night of the raid, when Uncle Julio's men tried to shoot her. She got away, but she's been on the run for the past three years, staying one step ahead of the killers.

Former DEA agent Adam Gregory tried to get Neen out before the raid, but he was stabbed in the back by one of his own people. Greg is desperate to find the dirty agent who stabbed him and protect Neen from the killers. He finally finds her in the cemetery, visiting her mother's grave, but the killers have spotted her, too.

Greg takes Neen on a wild ride across the country, protecting her from the killers, but not from his love. She tries to keep her distance, but the macho dude cop is hard to resist, and he's determined to make her love him again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sizzling, Riveting, Suspenseful, Sexy April 30, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
ON THE RUN is riveting. I read this book quickly because I couldn't put it down. Neen has been on the run for three years. Although scared, she's smart and resourceful and has managed to stay one step ahead of the bad guys. Greg is a warrior, racked by guilt because he couldn't help Neen three years ago. Determined to help her now, and win back her love, he goes on the run with her as they try to untangle the mystery of why a major drug dealer wants Neen dead. This story has so many twists and turns and surprises, it kept me turning the pages. And it's a great love story, very sexy, but very heartwarming as Neen learns to let go and let herself love Greg and accept his love. The ending is very satisfying. I can't wait to read more of the Gregory series from Ms. Fineman.

5.0 out of 5 stars One You Can't Put Down August 1, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I was hooked from page one and sped through the book. A twisty, suspenseful story, an interesting hero and heroine, and a romance, all in a well-written book. As soon as I finish this review, I'm buying the next one in the series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fast-paced romantic excitement! August 5, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is one of those books that will have you calling for pizza delivery so you don't have to stop reading! Fineman's characters are fully fleshed, and the conflicts realistic enough to keep you turning pages. Once you read this one, you'll want the rest of the series.

3.0 out of 5 stars I really wanted to like it August 9, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
This book had such great potential. There were just too many solutions that were quickly wrapped up with little to no real explanations. It was like if the characters needed to get into a window that was two stories high and had a security system in place, a thunder storm would knock out power and a ladder would be conveniently found in the bushes under the window. I felt that the author just crammed too much into the story and had to rely on super convenient reasoning to get through them. I really liked the characters. Neen is strong and smart and seems to have an iron will. I got a little bored with the constant reminders of the near paralyzing injury that could've been a career ender but his need to find Neen drove him to succeed. I will read the next in the series and would love to see more by the author.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very redundant September 4, 2011
By Karine
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The book wasn't bad but it wasn't great. It is extremely redundant- we get it: he got hurt!!!! Sheesh I feel like every other page has an explanation of Greg getting hurt. It got so annoying after the 3rd time that it took me forever to read this book. I kept reading a page, get annoyed and close it for a few days.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not great ... September 4, 2011
By Colleen
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book was OK. A lot of it was unbelievable, like how Neen was the one protecting "the professional." At one point I was thinking, "Make love already and get it over with so you can catch the bad guys." I also can't believe that Julio Ruiz, who is supposedly the biggest drug lord of all creation, would just surrender. I don't think I'll be buying Book 2. I do appreciate the author's drive to actually write books ... that's a cool thing, and I hope she continues.

2.0 out of 5 stars I kept rolling my eyes... August 13, 2011
By Michele
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
He's the professional and she kept him alive. Right. This is filled with eye-rolling events and dialog. If you can ignore inconsistencies (the "mother" is dead, but before she died she hid a disk which included dates of things that occurred after her death), unbelievable characters and rash assumptions just to make you feel sorry for the leads, it's not too bad.

5.0 out of 5 stars Forever Running
Action, scary, tiring. More than any young woman wants to experience. Always on the run. Without Greg, Neen would not have managed. Well written and a great story.

More About the Author

I'm a grumpy old lady who lives with an even grumpier old man in a small town in Washington state. I have three grown children, all smarter and more successful than their mother, and one adorable grandson. My favorite kid!

I write mostly romantic suspense, women's fiction, and light paranormal romance novels. Although my plots get kind of involved and sometimes twisted at the end, I don't plot my books out before I start writing. I create characters, throw them into a situation, and let them lead the way. I'd like to think my characters are unique, yet familiar, people you'd like to get to know. People you can root for. People you'll remember after you finish reading the book.

I hope you enjoy reading my books. Please feel free to leave a comment or review.
