5.0 out of 5 stars Best company
Run with the pack would be my favourite Bad Co album. The first two albums coming very close to this one, but there is something more in Run With...it's more bluesy and the production defenitly catches the deep soul feeling of each songs.
Sure it doesn't contain a smashing hit like the previous albums did, but the feel is just right and the smoothness of the voice,...

Sure it doesn't contain a smashing hit like the previous albums did, but the feel is just right and the smoothness of the voice, the instrumentation and the production makes it just incredibly profound and dangerous...a highway at night.
Probably also the FREE-est Bad Co album, very mature and intense.

5.0 out of 5 stars One Of Bad Company's Best, September 22, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Run With the Pack (Audio CD)
RUN WITH THE PACK is one of Bad Company's best albums. "Live For The Music" and "Simple Man" extol the values of keeping one's musical identity true to the roots; "Honey Child" is a pureblood boogie; "Run With The Pack" can still inspire people to get in shape 25 years after its release; and "Silver, Blue, And Gold" tells of a goal hardly seen but deeply felt. The only real lowpoint is a lame-brained, poorly-executed, unnecessary cover version of "Young Blood." However, this is still a great album.

4.0 out of 5 stars 3rd winner in a row, April 29, 2000
This review is from: Run With the Pack (Audio CD)
On this album Bad Co keep their winning streak alive. "Silver Blue and Gold" is a terrific song and "Live For The Music" is both rocking and funky.Melodic tunes that you'll be humming long after you hear them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Anybody who wants to collect classic rock must have this, July 25, 1998

If you like rock, buy it. If you lke blues, buy it. If you like truly "classic" rock, not what they play on the radio, buy it. This album is among the best rock albums ever made.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bad Co Still Runnin', March 9, 2007
This review is from: Run With the Pack (Audio CD)
This Bad Company album, though not with the top 40 hits of their self titled debut record and Straight Shooter, may be the band's most consistent effort. Fantastic rock vocals by Paul Rodgers, clever riffs by Ralphs and the super group stability of Burrell's bass and Simon Kirke's drums make songs like Youngblood and the classic Silver, Blue and Gold really sing. I remember bringing the vinyl home for the first time! Great stuff.

First three are must have! Cannot buy a greatest hits because this album is the perfect example as Love me Somebody and Silver Blue and Gold are not on any greatest hits and these are their two best songs.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than most, March 1, 2006
This review is from: Run With the Pack (Audio CD)
For years I have meaning to pick this album up on CD (I had the original on vinyl), mainly because it contains 'Sweet Lil Sister' - a blistering and soulful performance by Paul Rogers. I was not disappointed. That song is the best mover on the album, and certainly better than most anything else he recorded with this band. There are some other great tunes and classics on the album, the only clinker being an unnecessary remake of 'Young Blood'. Besides 'Sister', there is also a little played tune called 'Simple Man', another moving performance by Rogers, but this one is downtempo and meditative in comparison. This collection is worth having, even moreso than their first album, in my opinion.

Probably my all-around favorite album by Bad Co. I think "Silver, Blue and Gold" is a great rock ballad, and "Live For The Music," "Run With The Pack" "Honey Child" and "Sweet Little Sister" are perfect rockers.
