These tracks are definitely some of Shannon's best ever!

Here is the first 2 Del Shannon vinyl L.P.s originally released in 1961 and 1963 now on one great c.d.!

These two albums produced 6 charted hits.

The 6 b-sides are here also.

Here are 24 tracks of original recordings, plus 3 cuts repeated in an alternet version, 27 total.

From his first hit single in 1961, to the 6th hit single in 1962, Shannon is at his best here.

This twofer is TOTALLY a GREAT listen.

Within this two albums are 15 self-penned songs

that make this one of the best and freshest sounding Shannon sets he ever recorded.

This is REALLY a must have for the EARLY 1960s sound and "FEEL" of that era.

All these songs are very good, there's no sleepers!

The label is "The Beat Gos On", made in England.

The six hits here are:

1. "Runaway" b/w "Jody" top 5 hit in 1961.

2. "Hats off to Larry" b/w "Don't gild the lily Lily" top 5 hit in 1961

3. "So long baby" b/w "The answer to everything" top 40 in 1961.

4. "Hey! little girl" b/w "I don't care anymore" top 40 in 1961.

5. "Cry myself to sleep" b/w "I'm gonna move on" top 100 in 1962.

6. "The swiss maid" b/w "You never talked about me" top 100 in 1962.

Also included is a six page booklet overveiw of Shannon's career and this set,

and the history behind it.

Recommended to all who love the early 60s music.

NOTE many of these songs seen to be only found here on these two albums.

This collection has a few of my hard to find sleeper favorites not found on other issues namely: The Answer to Everything, Don't Gild the Lily, Lily and So Long Baby...SWEET!
