I love this maxi! One of Janet's finest. My personal favorites: Runaway-Junior's Factory Mix (9:06)-One of Junior's best mixes, very islandy and awesome. Runaway-Junior's Unplugged Mix (3:30)-Similar to the album version, but with more guitar, and it seems a little off compared to some of Junyah's later remixes. When I Think of You-Extended Morales House Mix '95 (7:41)-GO DAVID MORALES!!! Very housy and piano-driven. It makes me think of a college, for some odd reason. The other 2 songs, the album version of "Runaway" and the "Heller & Farley Project Mix", are great, but they could've had a little more. l8r!

A Kid's Review
This is a great CD, no matter what the others say. 1. Original Version (3:34, 10/10): Just what it says. 2. Junior's Factory Mix (9:06, 10/10): Nice! Why do I think of an island resort when I hear this? 3. When I Think of You-Extended Morales House Mix '95 (7:41, 11/10): GORGEOUS!!! I adore this spectacular update. Very nice. 4. WITOY-Heller & Farley Project Mix (9.9/10, 10:41): Wow, almost 11 minutes! This is a dark-house take on the song. I don't hate it, but I'm not crazy about it, either. 5. Junior's Unplugged Mix (11/10, 3:30): Lovin' it! Nice, laid-back, guitary take on "Runaway". This is the best "Runaway" remix on here. A very impressive EP, but why is it out of print already? I was planning on buying it from here, but it went out of print, and now the only place I can find it is Yahoo! Shopping! :(

A Classic All-Time Single!, April 2, 2004
Wanna be in a genuinely good mood?Janet's "Runaway" will get your there in a hurry. With it's uptempo elegance blending synthesized world music effects and exotic melodies with Janet's lilting lyrics the song encompasses alot but says what it has to say simply and easily. And the remixes that come with it actually give it a consistant effect-each one is very housy, one leans toward hip-hop and the other is funk oriented.Good way to keep from the nice but redundant "Design Of A Decade" CD.This is my favorite song from this particular years!
