This book has it all when it comes to the time travel genre. History, smart characters, interesting twists, chemistry and comedy. Runaway Time is one of the few romance novels that I keep and re-read over and over. I'm sorry to see that it is currently out of print and that D. Gordon seems to have stopped writing the Runaway Series (Time seems to be the second of three so far) I really would love to read Shelby's story. I'm not usually so enthusiastic, but this book is well done!

If you read her Silhouette Special Edition books as Brooke Hastings, the quality of this book will not surprise you. If you've read one or two time-travel romances that have disappointed, it will probably amaze you! Not only is the book beautifully written, erotic, intelligent, detailed, and well-researched and "logicked", but it includes a very decent attempt at explaining the time travel - something a lot of time-travel romance authors don't bother to do. I am at a loss as to why authors like Deborah Gordon remain midlist, or why this author has all but disappeared. I hope to see more of her work soon!
