A Must for Runaways Fans!,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Runaways Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
Well, much to my horror, the movie does not seem to be destined to win any Oscars, but if you saw it, well then, you KNOW why I ran home from seeing the movie (on opening weekend!) and ordered it from Amazon ASAP. Some people might be a little turned off by Kristin Stewart and Dakota Fanning's versions being included, but you know what? I think it's really interesting to hear the difference between them and Cherie and Joan. I like to play a little game with this CD : I drive along, listening, and I try to guess if it's the actresses or the real Runaways!
Another crazy delicious surprise is Roxy Roller by Nick Gilder. Remember him from his awful "Hot Child in the City" song?! ICK! But check out "Roxy Roller"! WOW! Not to mention Iggy Pop, Bowie, and the fabulous Suzi Quatro! Can you tell I LOVE IT?!

What a Jip!,
This review is from: The Runaways Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
The soundtrack is quite good, except they left out "I Love Playin' With Fire" with Kristen Stewart on vocals. One of my favorite songs and scenes from the movie. I'm disappointed about that to say the least.

Great songs spoiled by LOUD remastering,
This review is from: The Runaways Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
Why are CDs mixed so loud these days? I just wish the producers of this CD had shown some restraint. The mix is so lound -- particularly on "Roxy Roller" -- that the bass and drums are distorted. Too bad because otherwise this is a great collection of songs. Even the Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart re-recordings are really enjoyable!
