Rundor's Apprentice is a fun, fast-paced book to read! Along with the adventure and fun of a fantasy world, it also has a great perspective on what it feels like to lose all that you know and have to start over in a new life. Even though fantasy is not my typical genre, I really enjoyed reading this book and am looking forward to hearing more from this author! I will be on the lookout for his next book!

Chad Balk paints a vivid narrative of a young elf who struggles to find himself and his place in his world. The plot smoothly glides along as the main character, Caladur Vandel, goes along a journey to find success in a realm larger than he ever would have imagined.

The book is written with a distinct tone, easy enough for young readers to follow, yet complex enough to hold any readers interest. I was particularly impressed with the detail and straightforwardness the plot could afford, while keeping the reader engaged.

I would recommend this book to readers of all ages looking for a fascinating and in-depth fictional tale that is engaging from start to finish.

I highly recommend Rundor's Apprentice to anyone who enjoys a novel that will transport them to a distant land. Balk's engaging characters and imaginative setting drew me into reading a book that was difficult to put down. In fact, my "leisurely read" turned into a 2 day sprint! I'm looking forward to Balk's next creative work with great anticipation.

Rundor's Apprentice has the amazing ability to pull anyone from their environment into the original world that wonderfully captures the imagination of the reader. Chad Balk has so vividly portrayed his world that I found myself on occasion forgetting where I was and subsequently missing my train stop. It's the kind of book that we should all be glad will have sequels, as the setting is still young, and there are even more places to travel.

I recommend this read to anyone who just wants to escape and experience a new world. 10/10

What an interesting story! I love the evolution of the main character. As with his other book, it was a page-turner with plenty of wonderful twists. I read this one after reading Heir of Misfortune- his writing style keeps your interest and I love how he paints such a vivid image of another world in different time. I loved the story and I look forward to his next book! Check out this book- YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
