This vest works very well.

Anyway, I'm 6'2" and my wife is 5'3" and the one size fits reasonably well on both of us.

It fits well around the waist because of the adjustable velcro.

Very nice, it works very well. I'm a thicker guy and the elastic really does allow a comfortable fit around me. Just pull both elastic straps located on either side around to the velcro strip across the front to find your comfortable sqeeze. It doesn't come loose when you're running. I like the large reflective stripe that goes across the bottom back, and the front has thinner relective stripes. I do wish the front had a larger stripe, but it is adequate. Just make sure you do as you're supposed to and run towards traffic... just in case.
All in all I am happy with the vest. 99% of my running is in the dark and I feel a lot safer wearing this than without. I could have found a cheaper vest that probably has the same quality, but asthetically speaking, this one called out to me more than the road construction orange with yellow striped vests. It serves its purpose well. You should look into a headlamp as well, to help see imperfections in the road if running at night. I hope this review helped someone...

Like the previous reviewer I run almost exclusively at night so I just wanted something to help cars see me. There are four reflective stripes and a thin pocket behind them on the front (a zipper above the stripes allows access), and one thick wrap around reflective stripe on each side that has hook & loop (velcro) to attach to the front. The back where the two velcro straps connect also has a highly reflective strip. Now, as a bonus of sorts, the entire strip on the outline of the vest is also reflective so it's really easy to see at night. So for ten bucks, this is a five star vest in my opinion.

This vest is very bright and has the advantage of not looking like you stole it from a construction site. It goes atop a regular shirt and looks like it might actually be a part of the item in a funky way. The only down side is that the vest causes your shirt to cling close to your body, causing you to warm a bit. But since you are already running in the dark, that should not be a big problem. Overall, a very good product.

Nice light weight vest. Easy to get into with a very secure velcro closure. I like that it does not have that "construction worker" vibe, and it breathes well. The piping all around the vest is reflective, but I wish it had more reflective stripes on the back. There is only one stripe there - on the very bottom, where my running belt rides. That's OK for me, because I clip a blinkie light on my belt, but others might take note.

Unfortunately for me, "one size fits most" doesn't. I generally wear a US women's size 2, so I am not too surprised in that regard. For other smaller people out there, the smallest the waist can be cinched without overlapping the (stiff) reflective ends in the front is about 34". The fully open sides make the shoulders a bit wide (for me) as well.

Laid out flat with the belt closed all the way, the vest measures:

14" wide
22" long
17" wide @ velcro belt/closure (unstretched)
The elastic side insets in the belt measure about 3" and max-stretch to about 5" each.

I do like the vest, but will save to wear over my winter gear.

I got this in hopes that it would be for slightly larger people. I wear a XXL shirt and my friend a L, the velcro that comes around the sides to fix to the front squeezed your belly fat-- making it feel uncomfortable. I wish it had more reflective stripes on the back as well as the front. There is a nifty little pocket for keys or what not on the front where the stripes are, I found that helpful.

I bought this vest as I am training for my first marathon and the early morning is the only time during the week I can get out before life/kids/work invades my schedule.

The price is very reasonable when compared to other 'reputable' brands out there. Do I need a fancy label for an item such as this? Not really, after all, it is dark and who is going to read the label. It is for safety reasons only and with that in mind, the reflective strips are very much front and center. I think they are just about the right size and in the right places so that the mesh vest allows my body to breathe and not overheat during the run.

It actually has a pocket at the top of the front reflector that I did not notice when I first received it. Not sure if I would put anything like a gel or other small bulk item in there but it works well for a debit card or $5 bill if needed on the run.

Great value. Recommended.

If you've never used a reflective vest before and don't know what you like yet, this is a great cheap vest. The reflective strips are BRIGHT and it's wonderfully lightweight.

What I liked:
- The pocket behind the chest reflector strips on the front!. Big enough to hold my cell phone or iPod.

What I didn't like:
- I have pretty wide shoulders, but this vest just didn't seem to fit right. The "straps" that go over your shoulders stuck out over my shoulders and flapped a bit as I ran.
- It CONSTANTLY shifted, no matter how I tightened the velcro straps.
- I just wish there were another wide band of reflective strip across the back, not just at the waist. I may be running INTO traffic, but the oncoming cars can see my headlamp too, the cars coming up behind me only see that little stripe around my waist. I bought reflective tape and added to it.
