Book Description

September 24, 2010
Ex-con Steve Blade is sent down for seven years for attempted drug trafficking. Maverick DCI Jack Priestly is disgusted and resolves to have nothing more to do with Blade. The two men were childhood friends and have a close emotional bond although their relationship is confrontational and at times - violent. However, things are not what they seem. Blade is working undercover for the police and his 'conviction' is part of an elaborate plan to infiltrate a gang of illegal arms exporters whose kingpin is George Riddell. Blade and Priestly are later assigned to work together. Both men have unorthodox methods and it proves to be an uneasy partnership. A series of daring surveillance operations take place. The con eventually succeeds in his mission as he exposes the supreme violence and treachery of the criminal underworld. This is a gritty and hard-hitting story of double-crossing and corruption at the highest echelons of the British government and Police Force.
