2.0 out of 5 stars Just read the help files, March 14, 1999
By A Customer
I know it is difficult to cover the entire Office suite in a single book, but for something that claims to be a comprehensive reference, I expected something better. Because I'm already very familiar with Word, I was looking for help with Access and Excel. Yet there is little in this book that isn't in the Access help file. If you just want a book that you can take to the couch and read, this is fine. But if you're fine with the online documentation, save the $30 and read the help files.

1.0 out of 5 stars CD ROM has problems!, November 5, 1998
By A Customer
Don't buy this book if you need the CD ROM info!. I wasn't able to install ANYTHING from the CD, it kept telling me to shut down all applications and try again. This thing has bugs! I contacted MS press and they offered to send me another one, hope it works better because once you open the CD bag you don't get a refund! sign me $40 poorer.
