Beautiful,

This review is from: Rurouni Kenshin O.S.T. 1 (Audio CD)
This cd is composed of all the background music to the incredible anime series, Rurouni Kenshin. There are 2 vocal tracks on here, Sobakasu-The Opening Theme, and Tears Know-one of the ending songs. The music is absolutley gorgeous, this is one of the few anime series that has great music. This really is a cd that you will want to add to your collection.

Excellent,

This soundtrack is from all the backing music from the Kenshin TV series for the first story arc. They are mainly 2-3 minute themes which support the fight scenes, character introductions, character interactions and introduce a change of mood or escalation of tension. I must admit that the guitar tracks on this CD are the main attraction for me -- but there isn't really a bad track on this CD. Again, it depends on what kind of music that you like. There is only one vocal track here (Judy and Mary) which suits me just fine - I prefer orchestral and instrumental tracks.

Good CD but not the best out of all.,
This review is from: Rurouni Kenshin O.S.T. 1 (Audio CD)
To tell you the truth it depends what kind of music you like. This music is the soundtrack from the show. Dont get it mixed up with the themes. Its the music they play in the background, so most of the CD are songs that are around 1 minute long and are without vocals. If you read the review by "A music fan" you notice that he or she said there is "hard rock." No, there isn't. I would definetely not count Sobakasu as hard rock, and none of the rest of the music can be counted as "hard rock" either. There are two vocal songs on this CD. The opening theme and a song sung by the woman who plays Kenshin. If you want a CD with the theme songs you must get Rurouni Kenshin Best Collection. That has Tactics, Its Gonna Rain, 1/3 Junjou no Kanjou and more.

There is a reason why music is the universal language. It doesnt matter if it's in English or Japanese, it's the best, and this CD is no exception. It has everything from classical to hard rock. It totally has a feel all of it's own. So if you liked the TV series you gotta get this.

This CD is just the greatest CD ever. It may have only a few vocals, it is still a really great CD for those who love Rorourni Kenshin. Odo

It's not really fair to say this ST sucks just because there are few vocal tracks, the music is quite breath-taking, with an array of beautiful themes that greatly hold like glue; the anime together. Now I am not a fan of the anime with the exception of the second season and the Trust and Betrayal OVAs, however, no one can deny the elegance of this music and more or less the brilliance there. Besides, I think the vocal tracks aren't very good anyway, nor are any of the vocal themes. They are all by unknown nobody j-pop bands that mostly couldn't play a good song if the notation smacked their brains out.
