Jin-Chu Begins!,
By
This review is from: Rurouni Kenshin, Vol. 21 (v. 21) (Paperback)
Enishi and his fellow comrades finally make there move in the latest volume of Rurouni Kenshin.
As Kenshin concludes his story about Tomoe, his late "wife" and sister to the man who plans on seeking revenge on the Battousai, the residents of the Kamiya Dojo prepare for battle.Yahiko continues his training to obtain the secret move of the Kamiya Kashin Style and Kaoru talks to Megumi about the person Tomoe was.Kenshin AND Kaoru open up alittle about their feelings(about time) and we have the start of the "final" battle. In this volume we have the end of the story that was featured in the first Kenshin Video Series. While this version came out first, the animated version has a better ending(a beautiful epilogue if you will).Comparing the two, this version is too rushed and had a so-so payoff. On the positive side,we have some of the supporing cast from the "Kyoto" Story Arc making returned appearances and the returned of Sanosuke's muched missed Zanbato. Once again, another excellent installment of Rurouni Kenshin, but if you want the full emotional impact of the Battousai in his youth, check out the video series.Continue reading:the fun's only beginning...
