4.0 out of 5 stars "Battle on Three Fronts...and then some", January 3, 2006
The next round of Enishi's "Jinchu" is here in Volume 22 of Rurouni Kenshin.

As the title applies,we have three fights coming from the Kamiya Dojo. The first is Kenshin against Gein in his Iwanbo Suit.Followed by the finale of the Sanosuke/Banjin fight and arguably the best fight of this issue,Yahiko facing the Shadow Instrument User,Hyoko. As these battles conclude,we have the return of one of the minor baddies Kenshin faced during his "Tomoe Flashback Story" and the re-return of the Wolf of Mibu himself,Saito Hajime.

What has always been a double edged sword for the series has been Characters and Technology which don't really fit into the World of 1870's Japan. This habit continues with the appearence of Iwanbo Version III,or as the Author points out during one of his Freetalks,Mass Production Eva from "Evangelion".Yes,it does look cool and the science behind the suit could work, but do you really think something like this would be possible during that timeframe?

The high point in this volume is more Yahiko moments where he not only fights for his life, but to prove he can win his only battles without releying on Kenshin or anybody else.

I'm not going to ruin anything else for ya.So I'll just say pick it up and read on.Highly Recommended!

The title for the review really sums this one up.

The three fights that are going on are all awesome. Go, Yahiko!

One of the fights does have some technology that doesn't actually exist at that time, but it IS a STORY. Just a heads up for people who raeg about stuff like that. =P

I would totally recommend this volume.
