I've bought a lot of music books. This is one of the worst I have ever bought. Not the worst, because Broon's Bane was actually transcribed accurately. ALL the other songs were incorrectly transcribed. We are not talking a few booboos here, we are talking completely wrong. The songs have notation for what the vocals perform, not what the guitar performs, which I guess could come in handy if the guitar was often used to replace the singer in Rush cover bands.

Stangely enough, this is the same company that brought out actually acurate Rush transcriptions.

Let me just re-iterate [...]

If you're thinking that anything in this book is better than the stuff on the internet, let me save you some money!!!! There is NO REASONE WHATSOEVER to buy this book!! If warner brothers printed many of these, they're either going to have to give them away, or recoupe their costs by recycling them to print something worthwhile.

An utter waste of time and money. I don't know what they were thinking when they put this together (or what Rush's management was thinking either). Most of the songs simply transcribe the vocal melodies for guitar (why, I have no idea) while providing (sometimes accurate, sometimes not) chord charts.

Then, randomly, there are a couple of songs with complete, full tab transcriptions, like Broon's Bane and YYZ. But even then, the notation is bad. For instance, given all the complexity in YYZ, it never notes hammer-ons and pull-offs. It just gives you the notes for you to figure out yourself. You're much better off taking your chances with online tabs.

This is not what I thought this book would be like. I wanted guitar music. This book just has the melody. This Book is terrible.

I don't own this guitar book. But I do own the guitar anthology book. I think I'd like to get this one but Amazon doesn't have the song listing included so I don't know if it's any different. When I can actually see what songs are included I might buy it. Thanks Amazon.

I have this book. I'm a great Rush fan and quite a good guitar player and I found it very helpful indeed. There are a couple of things that could be improved upon: the 5/4 middle section of the trees isn't there, but the rest of the music is accurately written down.

It covers the albums from Rush up to Hemispheres.
