This review is from: Rush (Audio CD)
After discovering Dean Geyer last summer, it didn't take long for him to become my all time favorite singer based on this guitar driven, hook filled debut album. Every single song is catchy and inventive, brilliantly arranged, and sung beautifully. I'm surprised Geyer didn't chose to release this in the US because he would surely be a hit. My favorites on this album are Can't Be You, We Share the Same Space, She Comes in Waves, Rush, and I Don't Wanna Wait. No emotion or situation seems to be missed as Geyer reviews everything from his relationship with God (Secret Place) to questioning other's words (If You Don't Mean It), to frustration over not getting a girl he feels he is meant to be with (We Share the Same Space). You might feel it a risky move to be buying something all the way from Australia, but after you buy it, you will wonder what you did without Dean Geyer.
