5.0 out of 5 stars Five Stars!!!
How could I not give this 5 stars?!? I first heard the song "Plans and Reveries" and have since become addicted to it. It gets me further than usual during my morning run and what more can I say besides I love it. This band is full of talent, passion and genius. Can't get enough!

1.0 out of 5 stars Crap
Bought this based on hearing track 6 while out and about, that sounded terrific, a lot like the old band Squeeze, turns out the rest of the tracks for the most part were pretty damn lame.

5.0 out of 5 stars Strong debut for an up-and-coming band, July 19, 2009
This review is from: Rush (MP3 Download)
Black Gold's debut album offers music that's several steps above the overly polished, forgettable pop the studios insist on pushing down our throats these days. Sleek and melodic, with choruses that will get stuck in your head, Rush will find its way onto many of your most listened-to playlists.

5.0 out of 5 stars Melodic, Upbeat and Catchy, July 19, 2009
This review is from: Rush (MP3 Download)
Black Gold's debut album is incredible. The music that they've managed to create is so melodic and calming, but at the same time, it puts me in an upbeat mood. As another reviewer said it's pop that isn't overproduced. The instrumentation and melody that they have throughout their songs are original and catchy. If you like laid-back pop with vocals that pack a punch, then definitely listen to Black Gold.
